Dense fog in the national Capital led to the cancellation of three trains on Wednesday morning, PTI reported. Eighty-one other trains were running late by several hours and 12 had to be rescheduled, while air traffic was also affected. Kashi-Vishwanath Express, Chandigarh Express, Himgiri Express and Marudha Express were the trains cancelled, reported NDTV.

As many as 13 international and domestic flights were also delayed because of low visibility on Wednesday, ANI reported. IndiGo flights flying from Delhi were delayed by over an hour, reported The Indian Express. Air traffic at Chandigarh International Airport was also hit by dense fog. Last week, many flights had been cancelled and hundreds of them had also been delayed because of fog in Delhi.

Road transportation has also been affected in Uttar Pradesh because of the fog. Over two dozen trains were running late in the state, and several trains, including Seamark Kranti Express, were cancelled.
