An embattled woman can hear unspoken thoughts of men around her in the trailer of What Men Want. Directed by Adam Shankman, the comedy is a gender-reversed version of Nancy Myers’s What Women Want (2000), which featured Mel Gibson in the lead.
Ali Davis (Taraji P Henson) is a successful sports agent who is hoping to rise up the ranks in her firm and break the glass ceiling. But when a coveted promotion is given to a male colleague instead, she goes to a clairvoyant for assistance. After one cup of psychedelic tea and a wild night of partying, she discovers that she can now listen to the inner thoughts of men. Ali decides to use this newfound power to her advantage to advance in her career.
The cast includes Tracy Morgan, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Tamala Jones, Max Greenfield, Phoebe Robinson and Shaquille O’Neal.
What Men Want will be released in the United States of America on January 11, 2019.
