India is one of the laziest countries in the world: too many holidays, festivals and people wasting trillions of hours on mindless rituals, TV, Video games and the most primitive Bollywood song-and-dance tamashas. No Indian can critically think of productivity gains and loss of valuable opportunities. Thus, India is cursed to remain in the valley of middle-income trap if some bold, new leader is not able to enforce work ethics, discipline and dedicated hard work for the next 20 to 30 years!

The prime emphasis has to be on investment in human capital. Health, education electricity, drinking water and rural conectivity both physical and digital. How can there be progress without an empowered citizenry? Divisive policies will not even win elections.
