The story is total non sense. When Minorities in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan were persecuted, Kashmiri Pandits were thrown out, why Malysia did not speak.when China kept 10 million Muslims in camps, why They did not speak out. Where is this author. The authors comments are anti national.

I by all means agree to what you say and whatever you've written. Well done. Have never read a more eloquent news piece from Malaysia before. Now please be critical of China's daylight atrocities in Xinjiang too thank you very much. Will be looking forward to your Prime Minister speaking against it too.

A senile 92 year old man comments and expects to be taken seriously ... what a laugh. And, a few people to espouse his cause. A bigger laugh. We may have our internal problems, but we can manage quite well without your "learned" opinion, thank you.

Malaysian PM has to mind his own business. muslim majority country has different laws for the minority hindu community. Who is Hitler ,you Malaysian PM.You have guts change your country into secular like India, where all communities are one.

Is the author recommending malaysian style bhumiputra law (where only the muslim majority is given wide ranging reservations and massive benefits like 7% less tax) for Indian majority Hindus?

The comparison with Nazi and hitler is too much of a stretch. Nowadays labeling anyone having opposing political view as hitler and comparing with Nazi has become a trend.

No sir, these days opposing the government view makes you anti National. Asking questions is a crime. Want to see what it is to be Muslim, go to a police station disguised as a Muslim and try to lodge an FIR against an imaginary neighbour for harassment and you will understand what it is like being a Muslim in UP and Haryana and other BJP ruled states.

To allude to Nazi 2.0 is absolutely irresponsible; far from being a genocide, CAA is about giving closure to a section of refugees that have languished for decades. If at all non-Indian premiers have to step in, they should be championing for correction of the root cause: maltreatment of people in the countries from where people turn to India for refuge, Time And Again ....

Illegal Muslim immigrants who have jumped the fence (in many cases, just walked across the border), have to get back in the queue, apply for Indian citizenship by following the due process, and wait. This is what the NRC is supposed to be doing. About the constitutionality. The Constitution of India is not cast in stone. It has been amended 104 times since its adoption. Many times the amendments have been done following the Supreme Court ruling some government policy or law as unconstitutional. Repeal of the Right to Private Property as a fundamental right in the Constitution of India following a series of Supreme Court judgments holding land acquisition by the government by providing arbitrary compensation as unconstitutional is a good example.

When India was divided, Pakistan was created as a homeland for Muslims and Republic of India as a homeland for Hindus. Adhering to the Hindu ethos, the Hindus nurtured Muslims and Christians left behind in Republic of India. Mrs. Indira Gandhi even added the word 'secular' (along with 'socialist') in the defining clause (preamble) of the Constitution of India by force and without any debate during the Emergency in order to prepare ground for discrimination in favour of non-Hindus by the government. Following the Islamic ethos, the Pakistani nation converted most of its Hindus and Christians to Islam by hook or crook and spread its approach to its Northern neighbour, Afghanistan, during the Soviet invasion of that country in the late 70s and 80s. All along, the flow of illegal immigrants continued from Pakistan and later, Bangladesh, into India that created all the appending problems that mass illegal migration causes in a country. Now when the current government has taken the initiative and got passed an act to provide refuge to persecuted non-Muslims of Pakistan and Bangladesh, and is trying to combine it with a programme to identify and deport illegally arrived Muslims, it is facing charges of religious discrimination. Fact is that for all practical purpose, Republic of India is a Hindu homeland, and therefore, has a moral duty to provide refuge to persecuted non-Muslims.
