Ram Sriram

Hala's Gaha Sattasai and Tamil Sangam poetry had the same elements before Kalidasa. The title here is a hyperbole.

The author must be stupid. He never heard of Ramayana which was written even before Kalidasa was born. The nature is described , worshipped in a beautiful manner in the epic. Either give proper information or go and sleep quiet.

Tamil Sangam literature, 0 to 300 ce,is full of beautiful Ecopoetry, describing over 300 different flowering plants as well as wild and domestic animals, often with metaphorical correlations with Love and War. The inlaid similes often take your breath away. For those who are interested, most of these poems are available in English translation. I May I add that these poems antedate Kalidasa by atleast two centuries.
