Government is run by politicians and beauracrats, who lack the technical expertise needed to do most things. Experts have to be involved.....in most things

It's quite apparent vested interests in procurement of ventilators worked as usual in India. Ultra trained intensivists are just not required for running ventilators. Experienced doctors will frame parameters and give over to trained nurses for monitoring. Who is Alva to decide what doctors are fit to handle ventilators. Very soon pandemic godmen will decide and they will run respirators posing as ventilators. Most importantly, so many ventilators were not required at all. You need quality stuff to treat humans, not a puff of air which only godmen can play with.

I am sure the writers have made more efforts than I did to lean about Ventilators. However, I have heard/read the following: (i) At many places the proper connections and gas supply was not available, (2) At some places receivers were not ready to receive and asked the supplying company to deliver at their central warehouse and they would arrange delivery at specific locations, as per requirement, that is where they were discovered gathering dust, (3) In most of the cases these equipment were not professionally installed, for various reasons, including receiver not being ready for them. (4) Ventilators are complicated machinery not simple devices like a table fan. (5) Methodist Hospital in Houston, which is perhaps one of top10 hospitals in the world, tell me that for each ventilator you need to have one operator. I doubt that that is the situation in India. (6) Indian Govt ordered cheaper machines, and they got hat they ordered. Imported stuff can be 20 to 30 Lakh, while some India Ventilators are 1.5 to 2 lakh. You cannot compare the two.

Your report is missing mismanagement and intentional restriction of use by several state government. It was a plan action as planned out in "Toolkit" to defame the central government. you must include a statement which state had prevented use of the ventilators.

WILL THERE BE ANY PROPER INVESTIGATION TO FIND OUT WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS ILL DOING ?? NO...A BIG NO !! IN THIS COUNTRY, A REPUTED IAS OR IPS OFFICER IS SHOWCAUSED EASILY BECAUSE THE ""KING"" IS ANNOYED , BUT WHAT ABOUT AN ACTION AGAINST THIS SCROUNDAL BUSINESSMAN ???

They would have bought something like ventilator but not ventilator st all After all, they would have thought that it might not be noticed. Bad time for them. It has got noticed by the high court itself. Everything depends upon commission, Rdjiv Gsndhi style, 15 paise for product, 85 paise gor pocket.
