FILM FTII Student Films at Bhupesh Gupta Bhavan
The Films Division cancelled this edition of The FD Zone, a weekly screening of cinema held at the organisation’s headquarters on Pedder Road, as the selection of films included shorts made by Film and Television Institute of India students during the ongoing protest. The Films Division reportedly said that it was “not comfortable with the idea of giving FTII students’ film a platform”. The curators of The FD Zone have thus shifted the venue to Bhupesh Gupta Bhavan, where they will show ten shorts by FTII students including some made during the protest. The screening is free. The two men face off and Kidane accidentally shoots Amadou. Islamists, who’ve occupied Timbuktu, sentence Kidane to death. The screening is free.
