Shahzar Rizvi led India’s clean sweep of medals in the 10m Air Pistol event in the Commonwealth Shooting Championship in Australia on Wednesday.

The Indian Air Force shooter, who had won the 2016 Asian Airgun Gold beating the formidable Jitu Rai, once again got the better of his two compatriots and clinch India’s second gold in the championship.

Heena Sidhu had bagged India’s first gold in the women’s 10m Air pistol event on Tuesday.

Rizvi, who had topped the qualifying with a score of 581, had the worst start compared to compatriot Omkar Singh and Rai in the first two series but raised his performance during the elimination rounds to clinch the gold with a final score of 240.7.

Omkar Singh won the silver with a final score of 236 while Rai had to be satisfied with a bronze as he could only manage a score of 214.1 in the final.
