Rohit Khandelwal becomes first Indian to win Mr World title
The 26-year-old model-cum-actor defeated contestants from 47 countries to emerge on top at the international pageant.
Rohit Khandelwal on Tuesday won the Mr World 2016 title, becoming the first Indian to win the pageant. In the grand finale held at South Theatre, Southport, England, Mr Puerto Rico Fernando Alvarez came in as the first runner up, and Mr Mexico Aldo Esparza Ramirez, the second.
A winner of the Provogue Personal Care Mr India World 2015 title, Khandelwal defeated contestants from 47 countries. The 26-year-old model-cum-actor said, "I feel so privileged and humbled to be Mr World 2016...It has been an amazing journey to this point, and I cannot wait to see what happens next."
