AAP MLA Amanutullah Khan offers to quit government posts before being charged with harassment: ANI
Reports have said the legislator's sister-in-law filed an FIR against him at a Delhi police station.
Aam Aadmi Party legislator and Delhi Waqf Board chief Amanutullah Khan on Saturday offered to resign from all government posts. However, the move came as a case was filed against him by a family member for allegedly sexually harassing her, ANI reported. Khan has denied the charges made against him. According to News18, it also comes two days after the Board’s office was raided in connection with a recruitment scam.
In a letter to party chief Arvind Kejriwal, Khan expressed unhappiness at the allegations levelled against him and his family despite his "working for the people of Delhi". He was appointed head of the Delhi Waqf Board in March. Khan on Friday reportedly said all recruitments made to the Board after he joined were done according to procedure.
