Bengaluru FC's dream run in the AFC Cup came to a tame end in the final as they went down 0-1 to Air Force Club from Iraq in Doha on Saturday. The tournament's top scorer, Hammad Ahmadi, scored the only goal of the game in the 70th minute.

Air Force Club was the more dominant side from the start and created a number of opportunities in the first 45 minutes of the game but their finishing left a lot to be desired. The Iraqi side were forced to make a change as early as the 26th minute of the game after Humam Tareq suffered an injury but it did not affect Air Force Club, who looked threatening.

The goal came in the 70th minute with Amjad Rahdi skipping past two Bengaluru defenders and rolling the ball onto the path of Ahmadi, who got his 16th goal of the tournament. This was the first time that an Iraqi club won the competition.
