The latest trailer of Alpha focuses on the relationship between a young man and an injured wolf. Set 20,000 years ago in the last Ice Age, Alpha centres around a man named Zeta (Kodi Smith-McPhee) who gets separated from his clan after a hunting expedition goes awry. While Zeta struggles to get back home, he forges a bond with an abandoned and injured grey wolf, marking humankind’s first association with canines. The first trailer, which was released in July last year, portrayed Zeta’s separation and attempts to survive alone.

Alpha will be released in India on August 24.

Apart from McPhee, Alpha also features Lenor Varela, Natassia Malthe, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Mercedes de la Zerda and Jens Hultén. Directed by Albert Hughes and written by Daniele Sebastian Wiedenhaupt, the historical adventure has been produced by Sony Pictures and Studio 8.
