Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday issued vacancies for one Assistant Commissioner (Cooperation/Credit), one Deputy Drug Controller (Medical Devices), two Assistant Drug Controller (Medical Devices), one Assistant Professor (Electrical Engineering), two Additional Government Advocate, and six Joint Secretary and Legal Advisors. The last day to fill the application form is April 12th.

The position of Assistant Commission (Cooperation/Credit) is for Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Deputy and Assistant Drug Controller for Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Assistant Professor for Ministry of Home Affairs, and Government Advocate and Joint Secretary and Legal Adviser for Ministry of Law and Justice.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Assistant Commissioner (Cooperation/Credit): Master’s degree in Agriculture or Agricultural Economics or Economics or Commerce or Statistics with a 3-year experience in Cooperation or Credit. The position is suitable for certain differently-abled people.
  • Deputy Drug Controller (Medical Devices): Master’s Degree in Technology/Engineering in Bio Medical Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Biotechnology or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering or Polymer Engineering. And at least nine years’ experience in manufacturing or testing or regulation of medical devices or in research or designing.
  • Assistant Drug Controller (Medical Devices): Master’s Degree in Technology/Engineering in Bio Medical Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Biotechnology or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering or Polymer Engineering with two years’ experience in manufacturing or testing or regulation of medical devices or in research or designing. OR Bachelor’s Degree in Technology/ Engineering in Bio Medical Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Bio-Technology or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering or Polymer Engineering with a four-year experience in manufacturing or testing or regulation of medical devices or in research or designing.
  • Assistant Professor (Electrical Engineering): Master Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Additional Government Advocate: Degree in Law with 13-year membership of State Judicial Service or has held a superior post in legal department of a state for 13 years or is a qualified legal practitioner for 13 years. The position is suitable for differently-abled people.
  • Joint Secretary and Legal Adviser: Degree in Law with 16-year membership of Indian Civil Services allotted to judiciary or for State Judiciary Services or has held a superior post in legal department of a state for 16 years or is a qualified legal practitioner for 16 years. The position is suitable for differently-abled people.
