The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) will re-conduct the 23rd All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) on August 18th and 19th, according to an ICAR office order.
The ICAR had conducted the AIEEA 2018 exam in online mode for admissions to UG, PG, and PhD courses on June 22nd and 23rd. But the Council later canceled the exam for admissions, releasing a notification to that effect on July 12th.
The office note released by ICAR on July 24th states that the decision to conduct the reexamination has been taken with the approval of the competent authority in the ICAR.
The AIEEA re-exam 2018 will be held in offline mode (OMR based) and will be conducted at 56 examination centres all over the country. The AIEEA re-exam can only be attempted by students who had applied earlier.
This information comes from an office order released by V. K. Sharma, Deputy Secretary (Agril. Edn.), and a detailed notification on this matter is to be released on the official ICAR website, icar.org.in, shortly.
The original notification for the AIEEA 2018 was released in the month of May this year, and online registrations for the exam were held from May 18th to June 3rd.
ICAR fills 100% of DU’s seats, namely, Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), and Central Institute of Fisheries Education (CIFE), via this exam.
Besides, agricultural universities across India set aside 15% of undergraduate seats and 25% of postgraduate seats to be filled via the ICAR AIEEA exam. The exam is also conducted for PhD courses.
