Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced the result of the 2018 CA Intermediate (IPC) exam for old exam, old exam - UNITS, and new exam today, July 29th, at 9 pm. The result was expected to be released before 6:00 pm, according to multiple reports, but was delayed due to unexplained reasons.

All the candidates who are expecting the result can check it at the ICAI website, icaiexam.icai.org. The result was also released at caresults.icai.org and icai.nic.in. The website is a bit slow but the icai.nic.in website seems to be functioning better. The candidates who have registered their email ID with the ICAI would get the result directly delivered to their email IDs.

Here is how to check the ICAI CA Intermediate 2018 result

  1. Log in to the ICAI Exam website.    
  2. Click on Continue to Exam website.    
  3. Click on ‘Results’.    
  4. Click on the link to for CA Intermediate 2018 result.    
  5. Enter the Roll number and pin or registration number and click on ‘Check Results’.    
  6. The result will be displayed and can be printed out.    

Alternatively, candidates can check on this direct link to access the log-in page for IPC Old Exam, IPC Old Exam - UNITS, and IPC New Exam to check the result.

Candidates can also get the result via text messages, the details of which are as follows:

For Intermediate Examination (Old Course): CAIPCOLD (space) XXXXXX (Where XXXXXX is the six digit Intermediate (IPC) Examination roll number of the candidate), e.g. CAIPCOLD 000128 and send to 58888.

For Intermediate Examination (New Course): CAIPCNEW (space) XXXXXX (Where XXXXXX is the six digit Intermediate Examination roll number of the candidate) , e.g. CAIPCNEW 000128 and send to 58888.

The exams were conducted by the ICAI in the month of May. ICAI had released the CA Final, CA Foundation, and CPT result on July 20th. The overall pass percentage for the ICAI CPT 2018 exam for group I was 16.09%, group II was 13.59%, and group III was 9.09%.
