The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) finally released the written (Mains) results of the police sub-inspector (SI) exam today, August 8th. Multiple outlets had reported on August 6th that the result had been declared, but the website had not published the BPSSC result. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now visit the official website, bpssc.bih.nic.in, to check their BPSSC results.

The Times of India on August 6th had reported that a total of 10,161 candidates cleared the written exam, which was conducted on July 22nd. Candidates who cleared will have to appear for the physical test. The preliminary BPSSC SI exam was conducted in March and April this year. Candidates who clear the next stage – the physical test phase – will have to undergo a medical exam.

How to check BPSSC Police SI 2018 Main exam result

  1. Log on to the BPSSC’s official website.  
  2. Click on ‘Final Results: Main written exam for the post of Police Sub-Inspector with Bihar Police’ link.
  3. The PDF document will have a list of all the successful candidates who have cleared the Main exam.  

The document also details the the number of candidates who attended the Main exam as well as details of candidates who were disqualified and the reason for the disqualification.

The BPSSC is conducting this recruitment drive to fill 1,717 vacant police SI positions, the notification for which was released on September 16th, 2017. The preliminary exam result was declared on May 5th and around 29,000 candidates cleared the exam.
