Last week, a video of an awkward Doorshdarshan anchor interviewing celebrity guests at the International Film Festival of India in Goa went viral.

The woman, a temporary employee named Aayenah Pahuja, fumbled because she failed to recognise Hong Kong stars Tony Leung and Zhang Ziyi, and referred to the Goa governor as the governor of India.

This week, Pahuja gave an interview to The Logical Indian website explaining the trauma she had been put through with the unkind remarks on social media. She explained that she hadn't been given a proper rehearsal and that her instruction mike stopped working just before the event, leaving her unable to hear directions from her producer.

Nonetheless, she concludes: "Yes, I did make mistakes. I apologise for the same."

Here's the video that earned her the derogatory comments.
