MUSIC TALKS The Exchange at The Lalit
This is an annual two-day conference, organised by UK Trade and Investment and Mumbai electronic dance music-focused company Submerge, to create business opportunities in the music industries of the UK and India. MUSIC TRAVEL Bacardi NH7 Weekender in Pune

THEATRE Centrestage at the National Centre for the Performing Arts

BOOKS An Evening with Shah Abdul Latif at Somaiya Centre
Writer and poet Anju Makhija, who co-translated 16th century Sufi poet Shah Abdul Latif’s work from Sindhi to English for the book Seeking the Beloved, will read some of his poetry. Excerpts of Anjali Monteiro and KP Jayasankar’s film So Heddan So Hoddan, which documents the tradition of singing Latif’s poetry among communities in Kutch and Sindh, will be screened. THEATRE Mere Piya Gaye Rangoon at Palava City
Director Sunil Shanbag’s Hindi adaptation of Shakespeare’s All’s Well That Ends Well will be staged as part of Palava Tarang, an ongoing series of performances at Palava City, a new township in Dombivali. Originally presented in Gujarati, the play is set in three places: Gujarat, Mumbai at the turn of the century, and Rangoon. ART Unpacking the Studio: Celebrating the Jehangir Sabavala Bequest at the Jehangir Nicholson Art Foundation
This exhibition comprises the late artist’s paintings and personal articles such as diaries, sketchbooks and portfolios that were donated by his wife Shirin Sabavala to the Jehangir Nicholson Art Foundation, which is housed inside the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya. The show has been curated by Ranjit Hoskote. Tickets to enter the museum are priced at Rs 20 per head for children between the ages of five and 12, Rs 70 per head for Indians above the age of twelve, and Rs 300 per head for foreigners above the age of 12; free entry for children below the age of five.
