Over the past ten days or so, a number of serious allegations, including sedition, have been levelled against the students of Jawaharlal Nehru University. The latest set of accusations, however, are a little more frivolous.

A Bharatiya Janata Party legislator from Rajasthan on Monday joined several of his colleagues in calling JNU a hotbed for anti-nationals. But unlike his partymen, he had the statistics to back his claim.

According to Gyan Dev Ahuja, students at the university dance naked after sundown. He said that 3,000 condoms are used daily on the campus, while students also consume 3,000 cans and bottles of beer.

The MLA also listed the following items in JNUinventory: 10,000 cigarette buds and 4,000 bidi parts, apart from 50,000 bones. "They gorge on meat... these anti-nationals," Ahuja said.
