ART River with a Thousand Holes at Clark House Initiative

Organised by Ronak Rajani, who is better known by his Instagram handle Mumbaifoodie, and restaurateur Ashish Sajnani, who owns the Bombay Food Truck, the city’s first food truck festival Food Truck Square will feature ten trucks from across Mumbai. On offer will be ice creams by Snow Birds; cookies by Sweetish House Mafia; sandwiches, tacos and falafel by Yummy Wheels; sandwiches by Paninaro; kheema pao, salami pao and Nutella pao by Food on the Go (FOGO); and hot dogs, sandwiches and fries by Bombay Food Truck. FILM Sputnik at Goethe Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan
This 2013 German film by Markus Dietrich and Pavel Strnad is set in 1989 during the collapse of the Berlin wall. A ten-year-old girl attempts to beam herself and her friends to West Berlin on their self-made teleportation device to meet her beloved uncle. But instead of transporting themselves, they end up sending the entire village across. The film, which is in German, will be screened with English subtitles. There is no entry fee.

PHOTOGRAPHY The Deepak Puri Collection: Legacy of Photojournalism at Tarq
This exhibition, put together by Bangalore gallery Tasveer and the Museum of Art and Photography (MAP), an institution being built in that city, comprises 50 images by 30 photographers. The works have been selected from The Deepak Puri Collection: Legacy of Photojournalism, a set of over 150 images donated to MAP by Puri, the former photo editor of Time-Life News Service’s south Asia bureau. The photos on display include those by such major lensmen as Raghu Rai and Prashant Panjiar from India, Sebastião Salgado from Brazil and James Nachtwey from the US.
