Another imposing batting performance from South Africa meant that they posted a resounding 142-run win over Australia in their second One Day International at Johannesburg on Sunday, to follow their six-wicket win in the first ODI on Friday. South Africa scored 361/6 in their 50 overs and Australia were dismissed for 219 in response.

De Kock followed his 178 from the first ODI with a 24-ball 22 but it was Rilee Roussow, Faf du Plessis and JP Duminy who took South Africa's innings forward. Du Plessis and Duminy put on a 150-run partnership as both took on the Aussie bowling. Du Plessis finished with 111 off just 93 balls while Duminy was merciless, smashing ten boundaries and three sixes in his 58-ball 82.

Australia were never in the chase after being reduced to 55/3 in the first 11 overs. David Warner scored a half-century but was the fifth wicket to fall, while Travis Head played another lone hand with 51. South Africa's Wayne Parnell finished with figures of 3/40 as South Africa wrapped up a comprehensive win.
