With two losses from as many games, the pressure has started to pile on Kerala Blasters with an online campaign with the hashtag, #100rupeeschallenge gaining in popularity with a section of the franchise's fans who are tired of side's tepid showing on the pitch.
The idea behind the hashtag is for the Blasters' faithful to pool in with 100 rupees each to help their side buy better players. The Sachin Tendulkar-owned outfit finished rock bottom in their previous campaign, and sat through their disastrous 2015 season with two separate coaches on the touchline.
#100rupeeschallenge we are ready to give, pls, we need a good team.

Despite recruiting a new coaching setup and pool of players, Blasters' fortunes have failed to improve on the pitch this season, with the pressure on Steve Coppell's side. The attendance at Kochi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium is seen as a landmark in the ISL, with close to 60,000 fans flocking into the arena for the previous match.
