Despite speculation over the retirement of India's limited-overs captain MS Dhoni, the Board of Control for Cricket in India on Wednesday reposed their faith in the 35-year-old, according to a report from the Times of India. An unnamed official told the publication that there was "no one in sight to replace the 35-year-old".

"It would make the job of the selectors easy if Dhoni continues to play the way he is playing today. His fitness level is as good as a newcomer's in the team," said the official. "He seems to be getting better with age and none of the selectors have discussed leaving out Dhoni in the future. He is an essential member of the One-Day International team and there is no one in sight who can replace him."

After the 2015 World Cup, India's record in One-Day Internationals has not been impressive, losing 11 and winning 10 in 21 matches. Three of those wins came against Zimbabwe.
