We have all heard about the Ballon D’Or. For those who don’t, it is given to the best footballer in the world at the end of the season. Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have the won the award among themselves in the past five years.
However, another award that is seen as a big craze of the internet is the Fallon D’Floor. It doesn’t require a footballer to defend well or score X number of goals. All the footballer has to do to win this award is to dive and react as if they have broken a leg or two as the opposition player closes in for the ball.
Diving is an issue that needs to be addressed. However, referees might need technical help as it is near impossible to figure out who faked a dive.
