Bundesliga table-toppers Bayern Munich are on course to claim a record-extending fifth straight league crown after their 3-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday. Striker Lewandowski scored a brace in a win that opened up a 10-point lead at the top of the table. Meanwhile, both RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund fell further behind on the table with defeats.

The Polish striker put Bayern ahead in the 38th minute with an assist from Thomas Mueller. Brazilian Douglas Costa then doubled their lead just three minutes later, before Lewandowski converted a sharp Arjen Robben cross to score his 20th league goal of the season. Playing their fifth game in 15 days, Bayern cruised to a victory thanks to their forward line. The Bavarians are now on 59 points, a huge 10 points ahead of second-placed RB Leipzig, who lost 1-0 to VfL Wolfsburg.

Mario Gomez, with his eighth goal of the season, scored the winner as the Wolves won their first game under coach Andries Jonker in his second game in charge. The win put Wolfsburg into 14th place, three points away from the relegation zone.

Elsewhere, Borussia Dortmund also lost 2-1 to Hertha Berlin to maintain their third place and Hoffenheim drew 1-1 draw at Freiburg to remain fourth on 42.
