Indian Premier League franchise Rising Pune Supergiant have replaced injured all-rounder Mitchell Marsh with South Africa leg-spinner Imran Tahir for the upcoming season.
Marsh was ruled out of the 10th edition of mega-rich tournament due to a shoulder injury, which he suffered during the second Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar series. The injury has ruled the 25-year-old out of competitive cricket till the end of the year.
Tahir, who was unsold during the player auctions, is from the registered available player pool list. As per regulations, the Pune side is allowed to select a replacement player from the list.
The Pakistan-born spinner, who is ranked No 1 in the International Cricket Council One-day International and Twenty20 International bowling charts, represented Delhi Daredevils in the previous season.
