The ongoing tour of West Indies seems to be a stroll in the park for Team India. After beating West Indies by 93 runs in the third one-day game at Antigua, India took a 2-0 lead in the five-match series on Friday.
With the team performing well in all departments, skipper Virat Kohli is a happy man. However, after the match, he did indicate that he will bring in some changes in the playing XI for the fourth one-day game in North Sound on July 2.
Kohli said that players who are yet to take the field in West Indies will get a chance to prove their caliber.
“We will surely look into [making changes]. We have quite a few players who haven’t had a game in a while,” said Kohli. Rishabh Pant, Dinesh Karthik and Mohammed Shami are yet to get a game.
Kohli said that it was a good toss to win, which led to yet another emphatic win over West Indies.
“I think it was a clinical performance again. Early on, there was quite a bit of moisture, it was a good toss to win, and they bowled really well. It was a good batting effort to get us to 250. The wicket played much better in the second innings. The bowlers created pressure and got breakthroughs at the right moments. It’s about putting your hand up at the right time, it’s about how many people can stand up and put in those performances,” said Kohli.
