India’s Sukant Kadam and Manasi Joshi produced impressive campaigns to win gold in the singles event at the 2018 VII Spanish Para-Badminton International in Alcudia (Mallorca).
Kadam won all six of his matches including a 21-16, 21-16 win over Korea’s Kyung Hwan Shin in the final of the men’s singles SL4 category.

Joshi, meanwhile, won a total of three medals - one of each colour. She won all her matches in the women’s singles SL3 category to finish on top of the podium.

Joshi also won silver in the SL3-SU5 Women’s doubles category with Japan’s Mamiko Toyoda and bronze in the SL3-SU5 mixed doubles category with Ilker Tuzcu of Turkey.
Earlier, Umesh Vikram Kumar had won two bronze medals - in the Men’s Singles in SL3 category and a Men’s doubles medal in SL3-SL4 event with partner Chawarat Kitichokwattana of Thailand.
