Former India wicketkeeper and BCCI general manager Saba Karim has told the India team management to regularly submit tour reviews to the Cricket Advisory Committee, The Times of India reported.

The team management, though, has not taken kindly to the suggestion as they believe the national side is only answerable to the Committee of Administrators and the office-bearers of the BCCI, the report added.

The report cited sources as saying that members of the team management are not sure if the CAC, which comprises former cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman, continues to exist following the controversial circumstances in which the new coach Ravi Shastri was picked following Anil Kumble’s ouster.

The development holds significance as Shastri and Ganguly have been at odds in the past.

An argument has also been made that the CAC, who’s members hold the positions in an honourary capacity, should be given specific work guidelines and be a paid position, the report added.

Traditionally, the team manager has the responsibility of submitting tour reviews to the board.
