Paris attacks a reaction to West’s Middle East strategy, says Azam Khan
The Uttar Pradesh minister said the root cause of the recent global crisis is the economic interests of United States and its allies.
Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan said on Sunday that the Paris terror attacks were a reaction to the involvement of the United States and other western superpowers in the conflicts in Syria and Iraq. He added that the root cause of the recent global crisis is the economic interests of United States and its allies in the Middle East, reported The Times of India.
The Uttar Pradesh minister condemned the terror attacks in which 129 people were killed by suspected Islamic State militants, but said, “The bombardments in Iraq and Syria on suspected IS strongholds apart from killing innocent civilians are also rendering thousands homeless. What justification do they have for this?” Khan said that European cities "cannot be lit up with the ill-gotten wealth from the oil reserves of [the] Middle East". He also accused the West for trying to grab power though illegitimate means.
