6.7-magnitude earthquake strikes off Greece coast
No casualties or damage have been reported so far.
An earthquake of magnitude 6.7 struck the southwest coast of Greece on Tuesday morning at a depth of around 10 kilometers, according to the US Geological Survey. The epicentre of the quake was 106 kilometers southwest of the city of Ioannina. A second reading gave it a magnitude of 6.8 and a depth of just 5 kilometres, reported Reuters. No casualties or damage have been reported so far.
The Mediterranean region in which the quake occurred is seismically active, according to the USGS.
