Indian and China on Friday vowed to enhance cooperation in combating terrorism and fighting transnational crime, during home minister Rajnath Singh’s visit to China. He is the first Indian home minister to visit the country in a decade. Singh held talks with Meng Jianzhu, head of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China, reported PTI.

Singh said India wants to strengthen bilateral relations by deepening cooperation with Chinese law enforcers. Meng said that both countries should attempt to improve border administration to promote stability in the region.

Singh will head to Shanghai on Saturday where he would meet the top Chinese government and security officials. He will also address a meeting of the Indian Association of Shanghai.
