A seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a teenager in Delhi on Friday evening, reported PTI. She was reportedly playing outside her home in South Delhi’s Tigri area when the teenager lured her to a desolated spot and sodomised her, the police said. The accused, who is a school dropout, was apprehended by the police and a case was registered against him.

According to reports, the girl was rushed to the trauma centre at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences and is in a stable condition. Following the incident, some locals in the area alleged police inaction and claimed that the girl was sexually assaulted by at least three persons. However, the police denied the allegations and confirmed there was only one accused in the incident.

In a separate incident, four boys were arrested in the Pathanamthitta district of Kerala on Saturday for gangraping two schoolgirls.
