Emergency crews have started cleaning up after a train carrying around 200,000 litres of sulphuric acid and diesel got derailed in mid-northern Queensland, Australia, on Sunday. Queensland police declared an emergency and instated a 2-km exclusion perimeter. Three of the train’s staff have been hospitalised for minor injuries, and the extent of the leakage has not been determined yet.

The area has also been flooded recently, which has hampered Queensland Rail’s access to the area. All 26 carriages of the train derailed. The cause of the accident is still unknown.
