11-year-old British-Indian girl tops Mensa IQ test
Mumbai-born Kashmea Wahi now ranks among the likes of Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking, and in the top 1% of the UK’s brightest people.
An 11-year-old Indian-origin girl in the United Kingdom secured the highest possible score on the Mensa IQ test. With a score of 162, Kashmea Wahi now ranks among the likes of Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking, and in the top 1% of the UK’s brightest people. This makes the Mumbai-born genius the youngest among the most intelligent students in the country, PTI reported.
A spokesperson for Mensa confirmed that Kashmea is one of the youngest to achieve a score of 162 as it can only be taken by people over the age of 10 and a half. Last year, she was instrumental in her West London school team securing the third place in the Oxford Maths Challenge. Kashmea said she took the Mensa test to prove to her parents that she does not need to be buried in books for long hours.
