Defence minister Manohar Parrikar unfurls India's largest, tallest flag
The flag beat the previous record set by the one hoisted in Faridabad last year on the National Defence Day.

Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Saturday hoisted the largest flag of the country atop the tallest pole at Pahari Mandir in Ranchi, reported PTI. The flag is 66 feet in height, 99 feet in width and hoisted on a 293 feet-tall pole.
Parrikar said, “I feel elated to unfurl the country’s tallest, biggest and most beautiful tricolour on the occasion of [the] 119th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.”
The flag beat the previous record set by the 96 feet x 64 feet tricolour hoisted in Faridabad last year on a 250 feet-high pole (pictured above). This flag was unveiled to mark the National Defence Day.
