Jashodaben Modi, the estranged wife of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday filed a Right to Information query at the Regional Passport Office in Ahmedabad, seeking details of his passports. In November, Jashodaben had applied for a passport to take a trip abroad, but was denied one as she did not produce her marriage certificate or a joint affidavit with him.

According to the Times of India, her application seeks the details and copies of Narendra Modi's original passport, all renewed versions and the one issued to him after he became Gujarat chief minister. She has also asked for all the documents that were submitted alongside his passport applications.

Officials at the passport office said they would respond within 30 days.
