Five people, including a "psychopath" who had broken out of a Haryana jail, were arrested on Monday for abducting a 24-year-old woman who went missing from Ghaziabad last week, reported NDTV. Dipti Sarna had gone missing on Wednesday after she boarded an autorickshaw on her way back home from work. The employee of e-commerce firm Snapdeal was reunited with her family on February 12 when she called her father from the New Delhi railway station after she regained consciousness on board a train, reported India Today.

The victim said she was abducted by four men at knife-point. Police said that the 24-year-old was "blindfolded and taken to an unknown location where she was kept confined in a room overnight. She was later dumped near a railway. There was no physical harm to her". UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav’s had asked the Ghaziabad Senior Superintendent of Police to “personally head the search operation” for the girl when she was missing.
