Andhra Pradesh social welfare minister's son arrested for harassment
While Susheel surrendered before the police on Sunday, he had earlier denied reports that he molested a 20-year-old teacher.
Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Minister Ravela Kishore Babu's son Susheel and his driver were arrested on Sunday on charges of harassment, after Susheel surrendered at Banjara Hills police station in Hyderabad. Susheel is now undergoing a medical test and will be produced before a magistrate later in the day, ANI reported.
Susheel and his driver were booked on Saturday for allegedly molesting a 20-year-old teacher. In an inebriated condition, the minister’s son had passed lewd comments and tried to pull the woman inside his car around 4pm on Thursday, and his driver M Ramesh was at the wheel at the time of the incident, PTI reported. Susheel had claimed in a Facebook post that the “events being portrayed on news channels are completely made up and totally false”.
