Two people died in a wildfire in Kern County, Southern California on Friday, reports said. The region has seen several such fires breaking out, with evacuations reported in Los Angeles County earlier in the week because of one such blaze. The Kern County fire alone has wiped out around 19,000 acres of land. Around 800 fire fighters and responders were at the site, but the fire was not contained, reported TIME.

Earlier, red flag warnings were posted for mountains areas around LA. Firefighters have been working in several locations to end blazes that broke out in California ten days ago. The region extending from the West Coast to Mexico has experienced unusually high temperatures this year.
