Aam Aadmi Party will win 35 out of 40 seats in Goa Assembly elections, says Arvind Kejriwal
The Delhi Chief Minister said the party's main agenda will be to deal with problems of corruption and substance abuse in the state.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said he is confident the Aam Aadmi Party will win 35 seats in the 40-seat Goa Assembly when elections are held in 2017. According to The Indian Express, Kejriwal said if the party is voted to power, its main agenda will be to curb corruption and deal with the problem of substance abuse in the state.
Kejriwal is in Goa as part of his three-state tour, which also includes Punjab and Gujarat. He spoke to members of the fishering community in Panaji, and plans to meet the youth in the state during his two-day visit. This is the first time that the party is contesting the Assembly polls in the state. It failed to secure any seats in Goa during the Lok Sabha elections in 2014.
