Google introduces tool to block ads, manage personal data
Users will soon be able to delete online search history and videos watched on YouTube in one go.
Google will soon have a new privacy tool that enables users to block certain advertisements from appearing on any device, phones or computers, that one logs into, reported the Associated Press. Some users will soon receive notices about the new option on their Google search engines, Gmail or Chrome browsers, but the tool will be made available to all of Google's one billion-plus users in the coming weeks.
Apart from this, Google will make it easier for users to manage the enormous amount of data with its new My Activity feature. With this, one can delete records of their online search requests and videos watched on YouTube in one go.
Last year, the tech giant introduced the "My Account" feature that was a one-stop solution for setting privacy and security controls. Users will now be able to authorise Google to store browsing history on the same feature.
