BJP will take out tiranga yatra across India as part of Independence Day celebrations: Anurag Thakur
The ruling party's leader said the week-long procession will unite the people of the country.
Bharatiya Janata Party Leader Anurag Thakur on Tuesday said the party will take out a week-long tiranga yatra across the nation as part of Independence Day celebrations on August 15, The Indian Express reported. “Every year we celebrate with full pride and enthusiasm. This year, we will take out processions across the nation with our Indian flag as it is not just a cloth, but has immense power which unites 125 crore Indians,” he said.
The party has reportedly started preparations for the procession that will start on August 15, and will continue till August 22. "For a week, all the MPs of the Bharatiya Janata Party will celebrate the day with lakhs of people, who along with people on foot or on motor bikes will take out yatras,” said Thakur. The BJP will announce the final plans after discussions with party chief Amit Shah.
