Rajjat Barjatya, chief of Rajshri Productions' digital arm, dies
He was part of some of Rajshri's biggest projects, including 'Hum Aapke Hain Kaun', 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' and the more recent 'Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo'.
Rajjat Barjatya, the managing director and chief executive officer of the digital arm of Rajshri Productions, died in Mumbai on Friday. Rajjat, who had been battling cancer for a while, had reportedly been undergoing treatment at Jaslok Hospital for the past 10-12 days, according to IANS.
Rajjat was part of some of Rajshri's biggest projects, including Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Hum Saath Saath Hain and the more recent Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo. Filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya's cousin, he was also the brainchild behind the production house's progress in digital media and was touted to be responsible for Rajshri's business gains.
His last rites will be held on Saturday afternoon in Mumbai's Worli locality. A number of personalities from the Bollywood industry are expected to attend the ceremony to pay their respects to the producer.
