Local agency 7 News announced 18-year-old Amy Sharp's escape from the Surry Hills Corrective Services Cell Complex, to which she replied with the picture.
A teenager who escaped from a correctional centre in Sydney, Australia, offered the police a better picture of herself after they released her mugshot announcing her jailbreak. Amy Sharp, 18, shared her photograph in response to Sydney's 7 News' post detailing her escape from Surry Hills Corrective Services Cell Complex. "Can you use this photo, please and thank you," she said, along with an emoji of an angel.
The teenager's response, which went viral on social media, has got nearly 10,000 responses since Thursday and has been "liked" more than 60,000 times. Sharp was arrested soon after her escape and charged with escaping lawful custody and an outstanding warrant, a spokeswoman for New South Wales police said, according to The Guardian.
