Andhra Pradesh: Four feared dead as heavy rain continues to lash state
Officials said rescue and relief operations have commenced as the meteorological department has predicted more rain.

At least four people are feared dead after heavy rain lashed Andhra Pradesh’s Guntur district and other parts of the state on Thursday, reported ANI. The district has received continuous rain over the past three days, which has led to the lakes overflowing. Guntur, Prasasam, Krishna and Kurnool are the worst hit. The East and West Godavari districts also received heavy rain.
Officials said several trains were cancelled and traffic was paralysed in some parts of the state. A relief and rescue mission has reportedly commenced and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been briefed about the situation. Weather officials have predicted more showers for many parts of the state.
