Tennis: Andy Murray beats Novak Djokovic on his way to ATP World Tour Finals title
The British star will end the season as World No. 1.

Britain’s Andy Murray beat Novak Djokovic 6-3, 6-4 to win his first ATP World Tour Finals title on Sunday. Murray’s win over the five-time champion also means he ends 2016 as the World No. 1.
The year-end top ranking was on the line in a match that saw Murray outclass Djokovic at London’s O2 Arena. Murray has now extended his career-best winning streak to 24 matches. Djokovic had won the last four ATP World Finals and was attempting to equal Roger Federer’s record of six titles.
Murray, who has had a stellar season, winning Wimbledon and an Olympic gold, had dethroned Djokovic as the World No. 1 earlier this month, but had to win the World Tour Finals took keep that spot for the rest of the year.
