Chhattisgarh: One CRPF personnel killed, jawan injured in blast by Maoists in Sukma district
While cordoning off an area in Chintalnar, a few officers inadvertently stepped on a pressure bomb.
A CRPF personnel was killed and a jawan was injured on Tuesday in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district in a pressure bomb blast believed to be set up by Maoists. A team of the CRPF’s 74th battalion was cordoning off a patch between Burkapal police camp and Chintalnar, when two personnel inadvertently stepped on a pressure bomb. The blast left Sub-Inspector BS Bist dead, and constable Sudhakar injured.
A CRPF official told PTI that Sudhakar was airlifted to Jagdalpur for treatment and his life is no longer in danger.
