Bengaluru woman booked for 'objectionable', 'defamatory' Facebook posts about Yogi Adityanath
BJP's Yuva Morcha members had filed a complaint against her accusing her of sharing “obscene, morphed and tampered” images of the newly appointed UP CM.
A woman in Bengaluru has been booked for “objectionable” Facebook posts against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The step was taken against her on the basis of a formal complaint filed by the Yuva Morcha members of the Bharatiya Janata Party, reported PTI.
The complainants said the post on her page shows the newly appointed CM in “poor light”, and hence action should be taken against her. They have also accused the woman of sharing “obscene, morphed and tampered” images, and claimed they were of Adityanath. They said her posts were “highly defamatory” in nature. A First Information Report was filed under various sections of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
Adityanath was declared the leader of the legislature party in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly on Saturday. He took oath to office on Sunday.
