Income tax officer’s son found dead near a lake in Bengaluru, six arrested
The 19-year-old was abducted on September 12, and the police believe he was strangled to death the same night.

The abducted son of an income tax officer was found dead on Friday near a lake on the outskirts of Bengaluru, reported The Times of India. The police have arrested six suspects in connection with the case, including one of his friends.
Sharath N was abducted near his house in Kengeri on September 12. The police suspect that the abductors strangled the 19-year-old to death the same night. They had sent his father Niranjan Kumar and his wife a WhatsApp video demanding a ransom of Rs 50 lakh.
The abductors allegedly killed Sharath after finding out that Kumar had filed a police complaint, according to India Today. The report added that the suspects had initially dumped the body in the lake. But a few days later, after they found it floating in the lake, they removed the body and buried it beside it.
